St. Luke’s Global City Maternity Room Rates 2016

A few weeks ago, I got a message on my Facebook Page from a reader asking about St. Luke’s Global City since I gave birth to Joaquin there. My experience seemed so long ago (almost 2 years!) so I felt like I didn’t have the right information to share with her. Luckily, I was heading to BGC that day for the CERELAC Media Launch so I decided to drop by St. Luke’s Global na rin. I also went in for a quick check-up with my dermatologist, Dra. Deanna Ramiscal, to schedule cauterization. More on that one later since I’m still …

Joaquin’s Birth Story Pt. 1

Hi everyone! Sorry for my blogging break. We’ve been terribly busy physically and emotionally because of our newborn! I had a repeat cesarean section two weeks ago because it showed on my 36th week ultrasound that my baby boy is a bit big for his age and my lower uterine segment has thinned below what my OB-GYN was comfortable with that would allow me to do a VBAC. Today was supposed to be my due date! But our little boy, Joaquin, is 3 weeks old now and we’re all just so in love with him! Let me share to you …

Pregnancy Corner: 34-35 Weeks Pregnant Update

Let me try and get an update up now before a new week starts and before things suddenly start rolling. I’m putting up updates of my 34th, 35th and 36th week of pregnancy. I am now 36 weeks pregnant, and boy, have we been through a lot these past week. Below is an account of what happened two days before I was 35 weeks pregnant. August 2nd, I had my repeat ultrasound scan because the week prior to that, it showed that I had low normal amniotic fluid. My AFI was around 7.7 cms. I wasn’t so concerned at first …

My Experience at St. Luke’s Global City

I mentioned on my Father’s Day slash recipe post that I got sick two weeks ago and was confined at St. Luke’s Global City. I caught Jacob’s cough and colds which turned into a terrible Upper Respiratory Tract Infection for me, accompanied by Otitis Media, aka inflammation of the middle ear. I was trying cure it at home with extra doses of vitamin c from Camu Camu Powder (thanks to The Superfood Grocer!) and Panadol for the ear pain all the while coordinating with Dr. Tantoco after my sick check up earlier that week to no avail. After 3 days, …

Pregnancy Talk: Good Bye First Trimester!

I have to say, I’ve never been this excited to finally reach the end of my first trimester. It’s been four crazy weeks of February, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’ve missed. I have two blog posts on my phone’s Note app that I wanted to post weeks ago, but then pregnancy got in the way again! I am currently on semi-bed rest (if there’s such a thing) and absolutely no strenuous activity because on my 12th week ultrasound last Monday at St. Luke’s Global, my wonderful OB-GYN, Dr. Christine Tantoco, saw a small subchorionic hemorrhage …
