My 28th Birthday

I had the most chill 28th birthday celebration ever! I didn’t plan anything to do, which surprised Oscar, because I usually have everything down to the T. Usually, we celebrate birthdays with the whole shebang: house/hotel party and a whole week of celebration. I don’t know what changed, but after Jacob’s 5th birthday celebration (which I haven’t even blogged about!), I decided to pull the reins a bit and keep it low key. I guess it’s because we’re also trying to not spend too much anymore because we’re preparing to buy our own place. That’s a big factor. But also, …

I’m Going to Sydney!

My Australian tourist visa got approved last week, got an email around lunch time Monday, January 11th, after I took our new dog (YES, WE HAVE A NEW DOG!) at the vet. I will be going to Sydney first week of February until the 13th. I was so excited, but was nervous because my application and Jacob’s application were filed separately. His application “turned” a month old the same day I was approved. I lodged mine on December 9th, but since January 9th is a Saturday, they probably worked on mine the next working day. I thought it would take …

HELLO!

Yes, I am still alive! I have been MIA for A WHILE. I really have no other excuse other than physical life demanded more attention and that I’ve lost my mojo with blogging. I think I started ‘falling off’ my routine when I got sick back in September all the way to October. I was negotiating with myself that if I stop blogging, I need to start vlogging. Two of my so-called passion in life. You know how you envision yourself doing things you love, enjoying it every moment and as bonus, earning from it? I get those moments, every …

Birthday Staycation at Astoria Plaza Ortigas

I had big plans for my birthday weekend. I was going to spend every day we had at the hotel with friends doing things I love. But God had other plans for that week. I got sick to the point that I voluntarily had my blood checked if I had dengue. My fever spiked to 40*C the whole day Tuesday, then nothing the next. Then back again. Oh I just didn’t know what to do anymore! I cancelled my plans with friends and even our hotel reservation (but turns out they didn’t move it). My blood work came up normal, …

Wednesdate with Jacob

Last Wednesday, I took Jacob with me while I ran errands. Ever since school finished, he’s been staying at home lang and he’d only go out when we go to Church and to visit my in-laws. Actually we haven’t been going out too much because Joaquin’s eczema flared up again. And I always go out for errands by myself naman talaga. But lately, I’ve noticed that Jacob has been asking me where I am going and he keeps on telling me once I’m home that he missed me again. So I thought of bringing him out with me so that …

This Is How I Forget

I don’t even want to say it. You know I haven’t been blogging. I have a ‘To Do’s’ list right on my bedside table that’s been reminding me every day that I haven’t been crossing any of them off daily as planned. Other Moms would probably say that I should take it easy on myself. That I’m now a Mom of two and that’s quite a handful. Or that I’m baking for my small start up business or blogging (so they thought!) and I have that to think about too. Well you see, that list has been sitting there since …
