Things Jacob Says: July 9, 2016

I was putting the boys to sleep last night. It was after we said our prayers and we were just laying there in the dark. We turn off all the lights now for the boys’ bedtime. It helps keep Wacky from running around. World, I know someday my sons’ heart will get broken. By disappointments in school, work, friends, even family and soon enough, by a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. That’s okay. And it’s very much expected. That’s how they will learn and become stronger. But please, also show them the goodness in people and the brighter side of things so they …

THINGS JACOB SAYS: JUNE 20, 2016

I’m starting a new series on the blog which I hope I’d add to on a regular basis. Jacob is a bit of a late talker. When I say late, I mean he mostly babbled on about until he was around 2 years old. This grew as a concern for my Mom especially, because he apparently has to be able to make short sentences na and what not. I was even told to bring him to a speech therapist. I didn’t. But I did meet a fellow mommy blogger at an event I invited them to for Engineering for Kids …

St. Luke’s Global City Maternity Room Rates 2016

A few weeks ago, I got a message on my Facebook Page from a reader asking about St. Luke’s Global City since I gave birth to Joaquin there. My experience seemed so long ago (almost 2 years!) so I felt like I didn’t have the right information to share with her. Luckily, I was heading to BGC that day for the CERELAC Media Launch so I decided to drop by St. Luke’s Global na rin. I also went in for a quick check-up with my dermatologist, Dra. Deanna Ramiscal, to schedule cauterization. More on that one later since I’m still …

Mommy Roxi & the #SantiagoBros

Almost 3 Weeks

Okay, let’s talk about the past few weeks. We’ve been yaya-less for about almost 3 weeks. That is a whole ‘nother story that I think I don’t even have the patience to talk about right now. Long story short though, she was supposed to go back last Sunday/Monday but I didn’t hear from her. I didn’t even bother texting or calling her the next day because I thought, if she really was sincere with everything she told me on the phone, she’d come back. But if not, okay lang. I honestly have gone through quite a few yaya break-ups, I …

Meal Makeovers: Transforming Family Favorites Into Healthier Alternatives

We always want what’s best for our family, but providing our family with meals that are both nutrient-packed and tasty (even for the kids!) is not the easiest of tasks. Adults are easier to convince in terms of turning them to a more nutritious, high protein diet. Children, on the other hand, are always going to be tempted by fast food favorites, such as pizza and chicken nuggets, which do more to harm the body than good. This is why many moms are searching online for ways to get their kids to eat better, and healthy recipes that will please …

Quick #SantiagoBros Update

Day 6 into my trip and I really haven’t blogged much compared to the amount of vlogging and editing I’ve been doing. I find it easier and faster for me to get my thoughts across through vlogging BUT I won’t stop blogging. Worry not. 😉 Anyway, It’s basically been all about me on the vlogs lately because our initial plan of Oscar sending me video clips of them at the end of the day is a fail because I brought with me the charge of the camera I left behind. Fail fail fail. And even though he can record videos …

I just have to say, my Samsung NX MIni takes amazing photos! Ang ganda pa ng 'beauty' mode niya! Flawless!

Parties and Oscar’s 28th

It’s already Thursday and I’m just writing about our first week of December! We had a super busy weekend (until Wednesday, actually!) with social gatherings and Oscar’s birthday earlier this week. I was all over the place organizing parties, cleaning the house since we were having guests over, while Christmas shopping on the side of all my errands for the week. December is always so so busy! We have at least one party a week for the rest of the month and we are already exhausted! Happily exhausted though. It’s nice seeing friends and family who you barely saw throughout …
