Travel Guide: Boracay With A Baby

Okay, so we got a new laptop for me to work on (mainly for VLOG editing — the laptop we got is a beast!!!) but we don’t have the programs I need for editing on it yet. Soooo… here’s a blog that I’ve been meaning to write for my dear friend who will be going to Boracay in April with her (will be) 7-month old baby for the first time. Now I think I said it already before, but traveling with a baby or a child regardless of his/her age is stressful. I honestly can’t wait until the boys are …

Survival Guide When Mom (and Wife) Is Away

It’s Thursday and exactly a week from now, I’ll be on my way to Sydney for 10 days (barely!). But I leave the house and the boys Wednesday afternoon to head to the airport because my flight leaves a little past midnight ont he 4th. I’ve been having some anxiety over this trip, mainly because Jacob is definitely not going with me. His visa is still floating for decision somewhere and I just checked this morning, my flight going to Sydney is already fully booked. So the anxiety level pre-trip is overwhelming and sort of expected. I have gone to …

I’m Going to Sydney!

My Australian tourist visa got approved last week, got an email around lunch time Monday, January 11th, after I took our new dog (YES, WE HAVE A NEW DOG!) at the vet. I will be going to Sydney first week of February until the 13th. I was so excited, but was nervous because my application and Jacob’s application were filed separately. His application “turned” a month old the same day I was approved. I lodged mine on December 9th, but since January 9th is a Saturday, they probably worked on mine the next working day. I thought it would take …

VLOG: BEACH IN OCTOBER | La Luz Beach Resort, San Juan, Batangas

We planned a beach trip last month to celebrate my Mom and Aunt’s birthday. It almost got cancelled because of the Typhoon that entered Metro Manila that weekend and because my Mom was feeling ill. But since we already paid half of the room and food expenses, we went ahead. We stayed at La Luz Beach Resort in San Juan, Batangas. I’ve been there once with our friends back in 2006/2007 and I really enjoyed our stay. I liked it more because you don’t have to worry about your food! There is a mandatory food package (Php 1,350/person) that will …

Our Holy Week 2015

We spent Good Friday and Holy Saturday with my side of the family in Nagcarlan, Laguna. It’s been more than 5 years since I went back there. It was our family’s tradition to always go during Holy Week. As in all my cousins and Titas and Titos! I don’t know when we all stopped going all together, but the oldies kept the tradition yearly. It was only last year that little by little, every one started going back to visit. Maybe life happened (work, family, raising kids), but what matters is that we went all went back. All 34 of …
