Giveaway: Celebrating with Red Ribbon Chocolate Dedication Cake

This year’s birthday feels different. Maybe because I’m semi-tired from baby care and I can barely plan an elaborate birthday celebration. I used to celebrate my birthday for one whole week. One whole week of eating, drinking, and merrymaking! Well since I’m still breastfeeding exclusively, I can’t enjoy a glass of wine just yet (which is terribly sad, because I miss it so, so much!), I’m just doing a simple dinner over the weekend. I’m not back in the kitchen just yet so our Moms will be doing the cooking and I’ll just buy cake (instead of Mom baking one) and a beef/pork viand to add to the menu.

So today, we are celebrating with Red Ribbon! Thanks to the good folks of Red Ribbon, my boys got me this 8×8 Chocolate Dedication Cake yesterday. I told them they can only eat it after I’ve blown the candle after dinner. Oh but of course they couldn’t wait! When they woke up from their afternoon nap, they made me change clothes (‘coz we were going to take pictures!).

With the Red Ribbon Chocolate Dedication Cake, you can actually go beyond the usual birthday greeting and have something more meaningful written on the cake. The dedication space is pretty generous too, even with this 8×8 Dedication Cake. So no need to shortcut words or use text speak!

But my boys (Oscar) are not too big with dedications so they kept it simple:

Wala manlang "Mommy" eh :p

Wala manlang “Mommy” eh :p

We actually had a 12×12 Red Ribbon Chocolate Dedication Cake for Jacob’s 3rd Birthday. For Saturday, I’ll be getting their big Ube Cake naman ‘coz I miss it. Last time I had it was June last year pa.
