And… SHE’S BACK!

I cannot even begin to tell you all how much I terribly miss blogging. My last post was, what, 2 months and 2 days ago?! Well, you must be wondering where I went or what kind of hole I fell into.

First, I got a full-time job online which basically ate up my time. I loved having my own source of income for the family and I truly enjoy it. I work as a virtual assistant for a great company who has a lot of businesses. If you know me personally, you know how much I love organizing and being a leader. This job was perfect for me. So I dedicated a whole lot of my time to it.

Jacob: Hi everyone! Did you miss me?

Second, Jacob has been growing up fast and I’m so scared to even take my eyes off of him. He’s already 11 months old and his birthday is coming up! I’m going crazy over here! How can this boy be turning a year old already?

I’m sitting on Mom’s office chair!

With my job and all, I try to make time for him and do my responsibilities as a Mom at the same time. It’s pretty hard to do because I would often work until 4:00 AM and then finally sleep around 5:30-6:00 AM. I just can’t seem to go to sleep immediately after work. So that leaves me sleeping until he wakes me up around 10:00 AM when I eat something for ‘breakfast’ and then fall back to sleep.

It’s okay though, because before I go to bed, I usually sterilize his bottles, prepare his milk for the day, clean up Jacob and Osc’s (yes, my husband is in it too!) mess. It’s amazing how two people can turn a bedroom upside down in just a few hours of me working!

I’ve been very sick lately as well, and I think it would be because of my very unusual sleeping habits. All three of us caught the flu/viral infection at the same time. I suffered an episode of amoebiasis just 2 weeks ago that dragged on for a while. I don’t even know where on earth I would get that because I’m so OC!

But the thing is, I actually find it easier to work during those wee hours of the day because I can concentrate on my work rather than having him awake. I do have to take a long dinner break because I would need to prepare his food, cook for the family, and take frequent breaks because I am still nursing him, but other than that, it’s a smooth ride.

So there. That’s what I’ve been up to. I am torn between my two lives. And frankly, I don’t have much time for myself. But I guess I have it easier than most because this all happens in the comfort of my home. So I am still very thankful!

OKAY! Now, back to business! I will start regularly blogging again. Will kick my own self if I don’t.

I am relaunching Mr. Jacob’s Mom with a new layout and all soon! So please watch out for that! I can’t wait because I’ve been looking at those wonderful blog designs and thinking, “Hey! Mr. Jacob’s Mom needs her own identity!”.

I miss you all so much! All of my readers and Mom blogger friends! I have so many stories to tell. I’ve been very selfish with my thoughts and with my Jacob so prepare yourselves!

Hugs and kisses!

This is my first time to your blog, and I have to say your baby is beautiful! I know it’s hard to balance work, being a mom and wife, but it sounds like you have it all covered. Working at home is great, I work from home myself. Best wishes to you!

    Hi Roxi!

Jacob is growing up fast, when Ashton turned 1 I wanted to cry but don’t want to be embarrassed so I just held it all in haha

I am really thankful moms like us can now work from home. I cannot imagine how hard it is to leave our babies to work in a regular office. We are really blessed 🙂
